Today was one of the best days down at the club. The weather was perfect, only a light breeze but enough to keep the heat away. Got heaps of flights in, and some nice planes to photograph as well.

The poor F-15 turbine had three consecutive landing gear failures in three consecutive flights, each time thinking the problem was solved. Fortunately, due to the skills of the turbine specialist pilot, the jet did not sustain serious damage in any of the three emergency landings.

The Hercules was the first four petrol-engined aircraft I have seen in action, but thrust mismatch problems between the left and right engines mean the Hercules would not return to the air today.

The large scale Mustang looked fantastic as well, one of my all time favourite aircraft and a great model of one.
